Before Patriarchy, our ancient ancestors understood the nature of the balance and the connection of feminine and masculine principals as part of overall health. This included being connected on 5 levels, ie, to yourself, others-family & tribe, the Earth, Spirit, and Ancestors. Patriarchal narratives created separation in the human being and their ‘Connective Resources,’ forcing them to be subservient to external powers rather than their own innate inner wisdom, thus began a long history of inter-generational trauma due to these losses.

Family Constellations Work, founded by Bert Hellinger is a healing practice used in many countries to work with ancestral trauma and is facilitated either in groups or 1-1 with a trained practitioner. This beautiful practice is where healing ancestral pain and trauma is identified by the individual on the historical and current familial patterns of pain, as well as the physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and interpersonal aspects of the individual’s life. These ancestral burdens of pain can be relinquished, responsibility handed to where is belongs, and the ‘order of love’ re-established so the individual can feel ancestral support verses ancestral pain and trauma. In addition to this, the individual being finally able to embrace the ancestral gifts as well as the supportive cultural archetypes and traditions that are part of their inheritance.
